Kensington, MD--Pick-Up Productions (www.pickupproductions.com), a one stop shop for creative music industry services, is proud to announce the opening of a new art gallery and liveroom: FNDTN (www.fndtnarts.com).? With a wealth of music industry experience, Pick-Up Productions? co-founders Sean Gaiser and Matt Corrado are looking forward to bringing a new and notable venue to Kensington, MD.
For years, Pick-Up Productions has been embedded in the DC area music scene.? Located in the area?s Antique Row, 3762 Howard Ave Ste A, the creative group serves as the exclusive booking agency for Bayou, Acre 121 and the Bullpen, and offers studio, web design and graphic design services.? The newly opened boutique gallery space and intimate live music venue is conveniently located next to Pick-Up Productions in Kensington, and will be starting its calendar of events in September.
Foundation is a flexible 800 square foot gallery with an intimate 50 person capacity.? The room will feature a constant rotation of monthly and bi-monthly artist exhibitions featuring local and regional painters, fine artists, photographers, videographers and performance-based artists.? The venue will also host a rotating calendar of intimate concerts and live music events on a weekly basis throughout each month.? Visitors can expect to see some local favorites and up-and-coming regional bands fill the community-oriented venue.
Gaiser and Corrado will also be opening Foundation?s doors to private event rentals.? Complete with a built in performance stage, a pro audio sound system, LED stage lighting, a high-definition projector, built in booth seating and hardwood floors, Foundation has the ability to accent a wide range of art-based programming.
?There are a couple of bright spots in Kensington, Md., but nothing as youthful as Foundation, a new gallery, music venue, and event space situated in the area?s Antique Row,? said Kriston Capps of the Washington City Paper.
As a space for the arts, Foundation is dedicated to showcasing a wide variety of the area?s rich live music and fine arts culture as well as a range of art-based programming for the greater Washington DC community.
