[ubuntu] Installing Ubuntu causes Windows 8 to load infintely and other problems

I installed ubuntu, then didn't like it and uninstalled using os-uninstaller, which caused some problems. Then I tried to fix it by reinstalling ubuntu, because I remember being able to access windows 8 back then. However, now the computer is completely screwed and I'm posting this running trial ubuntu off the thumb drive. In detail:

1.After boot(no BIOS)-loads Windows 8 (circlular dots moving icon), and loads infinitely, then after next boot loads Windows 8 and says "repair", leads to the system repair screen with refresh/clean/advanced.

2.After boot(with BIOS accessed as lenovo icon loads)- have a list between (in that order) ubuntu, windows boot manager, flash drive. Choosing flash drive gets to the install ubuntu/try it out black choice screen, and choosing ubuntu or windows boot manager leads to the stuff mentioned in 1.

Not sure where quickboot is, and I've tried turning secureboot off but the actual value for secureboot never updates. Please help, I'm dead without this computer D:
